My kid says its addicting!
« on: March 26, 2017, 01:29:32 AM »
Recently I acquired a basic trad bow set for kids. Today I let my 10 year old son take it out for a spin and he loved it. He used it for an hour straight and right in the middle of it said, "This is addicting!" His friends even came out and even though I told him it was alright for him to go play with them he thought for a second and chose to stay a little longer to practice. When I brought out my compound bow and fired off the first arrow he said whoa when it smacked the target bag with a loud swack!  :IBCOOL: He begged me to let him try my bow and eventually I gave in. Now he is a big kid for 10 but he in now way could pull back that 60 pound draw. I asked him if he wanted a .22 cal pellet rifle (I promised him a couple weeks ago) or a compound bow....he chose the bow! I can see us having tons of fun together with archery in the future.

  that's the best part of hunting.  The new bear kids compound bows are pretty slick. They go from 15-70 lbs and have a lot of draw length adjustment.  Good on you for passing it on. My kids love everything hunting.
